School Closures

SCHOOL CLOSURE INFORMATION FOR 2025-26

Flathead County school districts collaborated on the following procedures:

• All school districts may independently make the final decision about school closures due to inclement weather.
• Rural elementary districts may close or remain open independent of their high school district. Please check school closure information below.
• Since there are 23 school districts, when closure decisions are made, or bus route changes occur, the County Superintendent is informed as early as possible. The County Superintendent then notifies the predetermined media outlets, which are Bee Broadcasting and KOFI.
• School closure must factor in several variables. Parents ALWAYS have the right to do what they feel best for their own children.

***Unless otherwise noted, early outs (EO) are pre-planned.  The reason for any school closure will be noted in the comment section or at the top of this page.
